A Long Hard Wait
It's been a long hard wait for another New York Giants Superbowl victory...a lot of change...a lot of disappointment.. Long-time veteran's have come and gone without reaching this point. Devoted fans have suffered along with this team during the long stretch since the Superbowl in 1990.
Hopes were raised during the 2000 season as Kerry Collins drove the Giants to an eventually disappointing showdown with the Baltimore Ravens. Teased and taunted by unfulfilled Playoff runs, the fans stayed with their team. New draft choices brought new hope to the fans, new talent brought new success to the team...some of the new personel paid immediate dividends(TE Jeremy Shockey, DE Osi Umenyiora), while others we had to wait on(CB Corey Webster, QB Eli Manning)for results. A new coach brought new discipline to the team, and along with that discipline and the talent came the Playoffs, and with time....THE SUPERBOWL
